Questions We Get a Lot

Check-in is self-service and available 24 hours, so you can drive in late without anyone waiting up. Your arrival details come with your reservation from Sweet Home Montana — if you don't have them the day you travel, call (406) 640-2088.

Every room and cabin is pet friendly for a $50 pet fee, with a maximum of one dog per room. Smoking isn't permitted anywhere on the property, and outside fires aren't either.

Rooms 1 through 9 — the Moose Rooms and suites — are treated as hotel stays: cancel seven or more days before arrival and you're refunded in full, and inside seven days payments aren't refundable. The cabins aren't covered by that clause, so confirm the terms with Sweet Home Montana before you book. The full text is on the Sweet Home Montana cancellation policy, alongside the terms and conditions.

Sweet Home Montana's concierge can book activities before you arrive, and the West Yellowstone area guide covers restaurants, attractions, and things to do. If it's your first time in the park, start with the first-time visitor's guide to Yellowstone and the ready-made three-day itinerary.

220 Firehole Avenue, West Yellowstone, MT 59758. Look for the life-size bucking moose statue out front. Downtown is about half a mile away, two grocery stores are inside a mile, and the West Entrance of Yellowstone is minutes from the door. The map above will hand you turn-by-turn directions.

All fourteen spaces are booked individually rather than assigned on arrival, so you're choosing the exact room, not a room type. The Cowboy Cabin sleeps eight across two bedrooms, The Loft sleeps six, the four Buckaroo Cabins sleep four each, and the Moose Rooms handle couples and solo travelers. The photo gallery shows what each one looks like.

There are other hotels in town — the Lazy Duck Inn and the Adventure Inn — plus a roster of West Yellowstone vacation rentals if you need a whole house. Call (406) 640-2088 and they'll find you something.
